RESEARCH & ANALYSIS EXPERIENCE

Columbia University Medical Center/New York-Presbyterian Hospital – New York, NY Research Assistant of “CLABSI and Parenteral Nutrition”

• Analyzed over 19000+ hospitalized patients’ data from NYP hospital’s EPIC and Eclipsys system, performed exploratory data analysis (EDA) and logistic regression analysis using SAS to explore the research question “Whether central-lined patients receiving Parenteral Nutrition (PN) are at higher risks for Central-Line Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSI) than those without PN”, and helped prepare data shells for a manuscript to publish

• Identified over 25 variables as risk factors of CLABSI through literature review, collaborated with SMEs to extract over 6000 clinical data points from patients’ database within 20 days

• Conducted multivariable linear regression analysis in SAS to quantify the impacts of each of 25 risk factors for CLABSI, and developed a risk profile presentation to help improve the clinical care of patients at risk
